Getting involved at High Church, Hilton

We gather on Sundays at 11:00 in the morning and 6:30 in the evening for our two weekly services. In the morning we provide a crèche for children 0-2 years during the service and a Sunday School for children aged 3-11 (the children are with us for the first part of the service).

At the very heart of our services is the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We believe that God's voice is heard when the Bible is clearly proclaimed. We give ourselves to this week by week in the conviction that this is what helps us to know God and love and serve Jesus more. We tend to have one or two series of sermons progressing at any given time. Our preaching programme consists of teaching which looks at the Bible one book at a time. This book-by-book approach seems to best reflect the shape and pattern in which God gave us the Scriptures.

Our services are characterised by the informal and relaxed atmosphere of a Christian family gathering together each week. We are a group of people of all ages and from many different backgrounds and nationalities, and we rejoice together in the diversity of experience that we represent. As well as the family ethos, our services also enable us to come before God with reverence and a sense of awe as we worship him together. To help us in our worship we have a traditional and straightforward approach to the service, and our music is thoughtfully led to help us worship God with prayerful adoration and genuine response.
